Ronnie F. Joiner, 71 of Lakeland Florida, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2022.

Ron was born in Eastman, Ga to the late RF and Doris Joiner of Eastman.

He was a 1969 graduate of Dodge County High School, lettering in football and basketball.

He received a BBA from the University of Georgia, where he was active in Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

Following his 20 year retirement from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, he returned to school.

Following his earning a Masters in Theology at Loyola University, he served the Roman Catholic Diocese of Savannah in their Diaconate Ministry.

Ron was kind faithful and patriotic.

He loved to snorkel, fish, and cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs.

He is survived by his wife Susan Joiner of Lakeland, FL; a daughter Kim Joiner (Nada) of Stafford, VA; sons Ben Joiner (Julie) of Lexington, Ky and Sean Joiner (Mallory) of Chevy Chase Maryland and several grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron’s honor to the Military Family Advisory Network at MFAN.ORG
