Rondi's obituary

Rondi Wayne Perry went home to Jesus on February 4, 2025 at the age of 71.

Rondi was born to J.B. and Rosemary Perry on June 20, 1953 in Weatherford, Texas. As a young man, he enjoyed playing baseball and ping pong, as well as riding bikes with his siblings. Rondi was an excellent student and played percussion in the Weatherford High School Band.

Rondi met his wife, Amy Perry in 2002 at a roofing convention. They married the following June and together created a blended family that included eight children: Heather (Perry), Susan, Meagan (Colby), Shelbe, Wes (Christine), Jon (Brooke), Maggie (Kyle), and Preston (Kaylee). Additionally, they have 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren: Ericka (Tucker), Taylor, Nate, Blake, Michael, Matthew, Sara, Mindi (Colby), Carter, Caden, Harper, Parker, Paige, Connor, Caleb, Charlie, James, Sutton, Avie, Isla, Walker, Owen, Addy, Marley, Peyton, and Beckham.

In addition to being a loving father and grandfather, Rondi was also very active and respected in the roofing industry in which he worked for his entire adult life, having learned a great deal about the trade early in life from his father. Outside of his time working, he enjoyed traveling, making many trips with Amy and their friends, as well as playing golf and participating in the White’s Chapel choir.

In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Rondi is survived by his brother J.B. (Erma), sister Rosaleen (Bob), nephews Jay and Bryce, and nieces Judy and Jennifer, as well as numerous friends and colleagues. Rondi joins his parents J.B. and Rosemary, and his grandson Caleb in Heaven. Though we will mourn the loss of Rondi daily, we know we will be reunited in time and take comfort in knowing he is waiting for us in Jesus’ arms.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24th at 2:00pm at White’s Chapel in Southlake. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the White’s Chapel Music Ministry which disperses funds to numerous charitable organizations.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39
