Ronald Wiertz, 91, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, December 23, 2024.
Born on December 18, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, to Alma and Henry Wiertz, Ron graduated from Austin High School in 1952. In 1956, he was drafted into the United States Navy, serving two years of active duty aboard the USS Boston, a guided missile cruiser that sailed the Caribbean, South America, and Mediterranean.
