I think of Ron often. Happy Birthday!!!It took no time for Ron to become my friend. He and Al Rowley came to dinner a couple times at my request. They loved the home cooked meals and fabulous conversation. A change from the usual. Ron had the opportunity to play in the NBA but decided not to and went to Dental School. Few athletes would make that decision. I applaud him for putting education over sports. Isn't that what a university is for? Thank you for the opportunity to remember. A prayer for Ron and the Sepic family. 

Good Easter morning. I had the pleasure of knowing Ron Sepic as a basketball player at Ohio State. Coach Fred Taylor allowed me and anyone of my friends to enter the locker room. I knew Ron well and invited him and Al Rowley over for dinner a couple times. I loved his jump shot as it was different where he spun the ball at more of an angle. I remember the crowd going wild as he hit a jumper from 40 feet at the buzzer to end the half in one game. I knew he was a great player so it was no surprise that he was drafted in the NBA. The surprise I did have was that he was also drafted by the NFL. I know of only one other basketball player to have done that and that was John Havlicek and you know what he did. However, Ron decided to go to Dental School and I am proud that he made that decision. Few would have done that. What I remember most about Ron was that he was a mild mannered gentle man who treated people with respect. He was truly a genuine good person. His smile was next to none. After Ron graduated from Ohio State, I only ran into him once. I did know he married a beautiful woman as the picture of them appeared in the Columbus Dispatch. A few years ago, I wrote Ron a letter just to say hello and that he touched my life. I told him I continued with the sport of basketball (I was too short to play) as I just completed my 40th year as a basketball referee and 28 years in volleyball. I had the pleasure of officiating a State Tournament in basketball and three in girls volleyball and three in boys volleyball. I received a great letter back from him. I thank God for putting that notion in my head to write. You truly lost a great man, one I admired and respected. Please accept my sympathy. Though our paths went different directions many years ago, I always considered Ron Sepic a great friend.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the Sepic family in their loss of a wonderful husband, father and brother..I had the privilege of being a friend and teammate of Ron's since our days at UHS.He was not not only an outstanding athlete and a quality person, but was always a true gentleman and a caring friend!

There are so many wonderful adjectives to describe your father but I remember Dr.Sepic in his first office across from McDonalds with our daughter Ann Rockwell Berdar. He and you both were my grandchildren's Kaleb and Sara Berdar doctors. Your kindness after Ann passed meant everything to me. Dr. Sepic was the most kind and compassionate individual. May he rest in peace. May all your
