I miss Shag and BJ every day. They were 2 of my favorite people. Shag was by far my fave airline pilot and one of the smartest guys I’ve ever known. Shaggy, I hope you are enjoying your “next great adventure” like you always called it! 🥰
So sorry for you and all the family. Some of our best memories are of Evergreen with both your Mom and Dad, especially out in the hot tub in all temperatures. Our thoughts and prayers are always with you. Bev and Mel Fennell
I will always remember the NC trips and boating the Intercoastal Waterway. He's the one who taught me how to throw the net to catch bait fish for the crab pots. My heart goes out to you all. Love him (and of course you all).
Uncle Shag and Aunt BJ were, and always, a part of me in that they gave me the courage to be confident and determined. They were spirited and independent minded with a deep love for family and community. I miss them deeply. My dad, Jim Davis, will especially miss his dear brother-in-law (like a brother) and especially their golf games. Shag was sharp witted up to his final days and loved us all with all his heart and soul. His passing brings us closer and his influence lives eternally. Axel, Emily and I send our heartfelt condolences to his beautiful daughters and their families. With love and peace, Lori
We loved Shag and BJ and all the family! Shag and BJ built the home we loved and lived in for many years in evergreen. Shag was a wonderful human being. We are sending our love. Jane and Jim Brill
My family visited Shag & BJ on Oak Island in 1997 and it was the best family vacation we ever had. They were so incredibly gracious & welcoming, we felt at home immediately and enjoyed every minute with this lovely couple.
