Ronald's obituary

Ronald Richard White

August 22, 1950 – February 7, 2025

Ronald Richard White passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025. Known for his funny, sarcastic, and loving personality, he brought joy and laughter to those around him.

Ron honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy, enlisting in 1968 and receiving an honorable discharge in 1970. After his service, he met and married the love of his life, Mary White, in 1972—a marriage that flourished for 52 wonderful years. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their two beloved daughters, Anna and Jessica.

Anyone who knew Ron was familiar with his love for Better Made chips, rice pudding, snack cakes, and bacon. His passion for music was undeniable, with a deep appreciation for the Bee Gees, Gene Pitney, and Little Anthony & the Imperials. His favorite song, Stranger on the Shore, held a special place in his heart. He also had a fondness for movies, especially John Wayne films, Captain Ron, and The Rock, as well as popular TV shows like Yellowstone and Game of Thrones.

Ron enjoyed playing board games such as Careers, Backgammon, Yahtzee, Scrabble, and Bingo. He also had a love for musicals, with Yankee Doodle Dandy and Bye Bye Birdie among his favorites. Above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren, playing games with his family, going out to lunch with his brother, and playing golf.

A passionate traveler, Ron loved visiting his favorite destinations, including Las Vegas, Florida, California, and Lake 13. His love for good food led him to his favorite restaurants: Ford’s Garage, Garden Family, Texas Roadhouse, Basement Bobs Burgers and Anna’s House.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his daughters, Anna (Michael) and Jessica (Joshua); and his adored grandchildren—Jacob, Ella, Ethan, Jace, Reece, and Dilyn—who brought immense joy to his life.

His favorite color was green, symbolizing growth, harmony, and renewal—qualities that Ron embodied throughout his life and passed down to his family. His life was a testament to strength, love, and devotion. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
