I am water skiing. I wipe out and the impact with the water blows my left ear drum out. I am in such pain I am having trouble staying above water. The boat pulls up along side of me and with one arm he reaches down easily pulling me out of the water, over the side of the boat, and places me on the floor. I couldn't believe how strong that man was. I am gonna miss you Big Daddy!

The last time I saw Ron was probably 7 or 8 years ago. He came to pick me up at the airport in a very old, cool looking car. I didn't know that old cars didn't have seat belts and so, as we got on the freeway I was terrified! He, of course, thought it was a great joke! I remember growing up, going to family reunions, Ron always had a big smile on his face, that booming voice could be heard from anywhere! He was always telling some crazy story involving my dad, or Jack, or both!
His dedication to his family & the amazing love that they shared was very apparent in the fight to the end. My love, prayers, and hopes for peace go to my cousins! Memory Eternal!

Ron was a unique guy with a love for family, music, antiques and cars! I had a great friendship with him and will saviour our conversations. Ron and I would laugh so hard that there were times I had tears coming down my face, what a hoot. He was gracious, respected people, loving, and enjoyed family events! I will miss you dearly Ron.....my heartfelt condolences to the Hughs family.
