Ronald's obituary

Ronald Duane Erickson was called home on May 27, 2024. He was 83 years old. Born on April 6, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He left behind all to cherish him and in his memory, his family. His two sons, Danny (Cindy) and Richie (Heather) and his three daughters, Connie (Steve), Jenny and Christy; who are undoubtedly his greatest accomplishments with their mother, Judy.

And in addition, Ron leaves behind his six grandsons. Derek (Megan), Dylan and Andrew, Jared and Devan and Gavin. Also his 5 granddaughters; Kiani, Kaeley (Tyler), Melissa, Hannah and Daisy. And never so proud of his 5 great grandchildren.

Ron was proceeded in death by his firstborn son, Randy. We know and believe embraces him now in heaven.

Ron had an adventurous spirit. He was strong in his convictions, his faith, and in his beliefs. He loved the freedom of our country and the freedom of his motorcycle. He related to and felt connected with the Bob Seger song, Like A Rock.

“ My hands were steady, my eyes were clear and bright. My walk had purpose, my steps were quick and light.  And I held firmly to what I felt was right.                                  Like a rock. I was strong as I could be. Like a rock, nothing ever got to me.  Like a rock, I was something to see. -Bob Seger

Ron’s family has decided to have a memorial with his immediate family and closest friends.

We remember Ron not with the sadness of his departure, but with the joy and laughter and the free spirit he was. We are reminded that we will see him again.

Ron’s family extends a sincere thank you to everyone that has kept Ron and his family in your prayers and thoughts.
