Ron's obituary
Ronald (Ron) Curtis Crawford of Brush Prairie, WA, passed away on September 21, 2024, at the age of 85, after a courageous battle with cancer. We are heartbroken by his passing.
Born on January 2, 1939, to Ruth and Larry Crawford, Ron spent his early years in Merced, CA. There, he met and married Estelle Criswell, with whom he had three children.
Ron and Estelle later moved to the San Francisco Bay area, making their home in Fremont, CA, where they raised their family before retiring to Brush Prairie, WA.
An avid hockey fan, Ron spent many years supporting the Winter Hawks. He was deeply involved with the Norwich Terrier Club, where he bred and trained numerous championship dogs. His passion for terriers led him to organize group outings and invent various training and grooming tools that were popular with the club.
Ron was full of creativity, love, and joy. His playful pranks, shock-jock jokes, and captivating stories brought endless laughter and warmth to those around him. Ron’s presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Ron was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Paul Crawford, and survived by his wife Estelle, his sister, Turquoise, his children Beverly and Lance, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Plans for a celebration of life have been made for April 12 and you can find full details on the Events tab of this site.
