Ronald Glenn Berry Sr.

June 7, 1960 - August 29, 2023

Ronald Glenn Berry, aged 63, of Knoxville. TN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 29, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on June 7, 1961 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Oscar L. Berry and Gearldine MacAlistair Berry.  He married his high school sweetheart Janice Ward. They had two biological children, Candice and Ronald Glen Berry Jr. as well as an adopted son, Michael Holloway. Through the years, many children called him “dad.” He was known in the community for teaching Sunday School, being a church clerk, auto mechanic, and a lineman. He believed in helping people and, with his wife, took in many children over the years of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, watching movies, and spending time with his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife , Janice W. Berry, his parents Oscar and Gearldine Berry, and his brothers Richard and Duane Berry. He is survived by his children, Candice Berry, Glen Berry (Stephanie), Michael Holloway (Kristin Holloway) and sister Denise Berry. He had seven grandchildren including Jessica Baehr, Aaron Ward, Jacob Ward, Aiden Ward, Jayden Berry, Ashlynn Berry, Analynn Berry, and one great grandchild, Lyla Ann Baehr Smith. Ronald’s Celebration of Life service will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 14th at Northwest Church of God.
