Ronald's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Berlt, a beloved family man, skilled truck driver, and ardent outdoorsman. Born on the 21st of April, 1953, Ronald passed away on the 11th of January, 2025.

Ron was known by many for his stellar personality traits - his impossibly huge smile and the jovial, joking manner he carried with him. He truly had a way of lighting up any room with his joviality. Professionally, he took to the open road for 42 years out of 50 years driving log truck in the Burney Basin.

Ron's personal interests included hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to embrace the tranquillity of nature. He enjoyed a good red beer and fireball, drinks that became synonymous with his presence at family gatherings and social events.

He was united in matrimony with his loving wife, Linda Berlt, in 1973. Their union was blessed with three sons, Jonathan, Wesley, and Lucas Berlt. Thirteen grand children and seven great grand children survive Ron, sharing in the family's grief. Survived also by his brothers, Bill Beloit, Richard Beloit, Jim Berlt and many Nieces and Nephews. Ron's absence will deeply be felt within the family.

Ron was predeceased by his respected father, William Berlt, his cherished mother, LaVinia Berlt, his dear brother, Robert Berlt, beloved neice, Jamie Berlt-Montgomery. Their memories continue to live on in the hearts of their loved ones.

A celebration of Ronald's remarkable life will be held on the 5th of April, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the VFW. We invite all those whose lives were touched by Ronald's gigantic spirit to join us as we honour his memory.
