I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Ron for many years. He was such a thoughtful and cheerful person that you couldn’t help but like him instantly upon meeting him. I can honestly say that working for Ron has been the best experience of my life. I am proud to day that I have been working for Champion for the last 18 years and have not plans to change this aspect of my life and Ron had everything to do with it. He was kind and strong and was a true leader. I will miss him. May he rest in peace.

I have known Ron as an industry friend and colleague for over 35 years. He was smart, always professional and had a great sense of humor. When I started our business a few years ago Ron gave his blessing to use us and Champion became one of our first customers. I am forever grateful. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Ron. I know it does not need to be said further what a legend and a gentlemen he was, as anyone he touched already knew that. I looked forward to seeing Ron each year at conferences and/or personal golf. When I visited Pittsburgh a handful of years ago he was right there to roll out the red carpet for me, along with Ron, Rudy and Bill. We shared birthdays that were 3 days apart and so hoisted our Libra suds quite a few times together, as both of our birthdays intersected with the IAM convention of which we would often be together. R.I.P, my friend, and may scratch golf be one of the benefits beyond the pearly gates where you undoubtedly were welcomed into with open arms.
