Ron's obituary

In Loving Memory of Ron Pope

Ronald Irby Pope was born September 26, 1946, in Memphis, TN.  He was the son of Irby Pope and Bettye Norwood Pope.  He was raised in a Christian home and had a strong commitment to his faith through his life.  Ron is predeceased by both parents; he is survived by his wife Pat, and their children Justin (wife Desaraye and son Titus) and Stephanie.  He is also survived by his son Jason (wife Tina and sons Dylan and Dawson), as well as his daughter Jenni (husband Dickie and daughters Rylee, Landree, Savannah, Carrigan and Abree).  Ron is also survived by sisters Marilyn Davis (husband Charles) and Penny Street (husband Wiley).

Ron married his wife, Pat, in June of 1978.  In 1992, he and his family moved to Ramsey, NJ where they've lived for 30 years.

Ron loved playing golf, woodworking, fishing and grilling.  He will be best remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh, always having a one-liner at the ready.  Ron had an awesome group of friends who he loved spending time with and was known to always put his family first.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:30 am.
