Rollie attended school in Bridgeport, where he discovered his passion for football. He played with unwavering dedication on the Bridgeport High School football team, leaving an indelible mark on the sport in his community. His passion for football continued throughout his life, and he was a devoted fan of Nebraska Husker Football, never missing a game.

Rollie’s heart was at home in the outdoors, where he found solace and joy. He was an avid hunter, with a special fondness for deer hunting. Throughout his life, he roamed the wilderness, treasuring the beauty of nature and sharing those precious moments with friends and family. Beyond hunting, Rollie was also an accomplished gardener. His favorite pastime was tending to his garden, where he nurtured beautiful tomato plants and grew corn that would rival the best in the region. His green thumb and dedication yielded bountiful harvests, and he generously shared the fruits of his labor with those he loved.

In the chapters of his life, Rollie was blessed with three wonderful children. With his first wife, he welcomed Angela O’Leary (Muhr) and Eric Muhr into the world. Later in life, he found happiness again in the loving arms of Elsie Muhr (Stover), and together they were blessed with another child, Krisie Adams (Muhr).

Rollie Muhr is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Terry and Claire Muhr, whose values and principles he carried with him throughout his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Elsie Muhr, whose unwavering support and companionship brought joy to his later years. Rollie’s legacy lives on through his children, Angie O’Leary, Eric Muhr, and Krisie Adams, and he will forever be remembered in the hearts of his cherished grandchildren: Destinee Kramer, Alannah O’Leary, Landon O’Leary, Braxton Adams, and Haleigh Adams along with one great-grandchild: Ronan Goodell. Rollie is also survived by his brother, Tim Muhr, and his sister, Carlene Hansen (Muhr).

Rollie’s journey may have come to an end, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him. His love for family, his passion for the outdoors, and his talent for gardening will serve as an enduring inspiration to all who were touched by his life.

A celebration of Rollie Muhr’s life will be held in his honor, where friends and family will be welcome to come together to share stories, memories, and the love that defined his time with us.
