Rolando Eddy Griffith was born on October 12, 1945 in Panama Canal Zone, Panama to his parents William Alfonso Griffith and Gwendolyn Estelle Bennett. In Panama City, he married the love of his life, Guillermina Caballero. After moving to Spring Hill, Rolando eventually worked for the Hernando County Public School System as an ESOL Paraprofessional, where he enjoyed tutoring students in all subjects, particularly English and Math. He worked at J.D. Floyd Elementary School for 15 years.

When he wasn’t working, Rolando had a passion for carpentry, politics, playing cards with his family and Wii Sports (golf and tennis).
