Roland's obituary
Roland Joseph Paquin, 86, passed away on November 7, 2025, in Placentia, California.
Born on April 28, 1939, in Providence, Rhode Island, to his parents Philias Paquin and Alice (Votta) Paquin.
Roland was preceded in death by his loving wife Rochelle. He leaves behind four daughters - Nancy of Riverside, Diane of Gavilan Hills, Dana of Yorba Linda, and Annette of Fullerton; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Roland is also preceded in death by his mom, dad, and brother Leo; he also leaves behind his sister, Alice. Roland was the baby of the family.
Roland grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. He met Rochelle on August 16, 1955… he was 16 and it was the day after she turned 13. Roland joined the Air Force when he was 17.
Roland and Rochelle married on January 7, 1961, which turned into a life full of commitment to their Lord and Savior, to one another, and to their family and friends. They renewed their marriage vows on their 30th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful journey of 64 years of marriage.
Roland moved his family to California in 1969. Roland loved the weather in California and always said he’d never move, and he didn’t. He was a hard worker, always took care of his family. and was always willing to help others. Roland retired from Disneyland after 24 years and enjoyed 24 years or retirement. He loved fishing, the beach, camping, nature, cooking, and a variety of music.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2025, 10:00 AM, at St. Juliana Falconieri Church, 1316 N. Acacia Avenue, Fullerton, CA. If possible, please wear BLUE… Roland’s favorite color. There will be a reception in the Parish Center at the rear of the church from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Food will be served. Interment to follow at 1:15 PM at Loma Vista Memorial Park, 701 E. Bastanchury Road, Fullerton, CA.
