Dear Marilyn, Margaret, Denise, Mike, Martha (and your children):
Roger really was a special man, in ways very much like your dad (Uncle) Willard -- generous, extroverted, hard-working, devoted to Our Lord, and a whole lot of fun. Roger's passing saddens me greatly because I think I imagined he would live forever; though I also rejoice because I pray and believe that in Christ Roger does and will live forever, and that we will see him again. This is a landmark generational passing among the cousins descending from the children of Ernest Bess: Roger, the oldest Brother / oldest Cousin. God bless us all as He surely has, and God continue to bless us and to bless Roger because Roger himself was both blessed and a blessing. From South Bend my prayers are joined with yours in this hour of remembrance; and we will all continue to remember... Phil
