Roger's obituary

Roger J. Martin 69, of Broad Brook East Windsor, formerly of Enfield CT, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Roger was born on March 5, 1953 in Stafford, beloved son of late Ernestine Martin. He was raised in Howland Maine and Hartford CT.

He attended Schools in Hartford and was a graduate of Weaver Highschool in Hartford CT.

Roger began his career as a machinist before being promoted to assist in building astronaut suits working at Hamilton Standard for over 18 years,

while working at his own business a hardware company based out of East Windsor CT and was a long-time employee at MassMutual in

Springfield Mass. Where he worked in information technology and as a system analyst also for over 15 year, before retiring. He attended Holy family Roman Catholic Church in Enfield CT. He enjoyed the outdoors, and he was a passionate gardener who practiced sustainable living and a fisher man, he donated much of his harvest to local food banks yearly. He did all in his power to make the most of everything with a generous heart. He was a passionate musician when he wasn’t spending

his days outdoors he would be playing the guitar making music and singing. He was a heartfelt and inspiring singer song writer and guitarist.

He is survived by his two children Christopher Martin of Vernon CT and Kimberly Martin of Bloomfield and Vernon CT and the mother of his children Karen Martin

also, of Vernon CT.

A memorial will be held at a place of worship honoring his life in CT along with a memorial and celebration of life will be held in Maine at a place both date and time to be announced. Prayers and words of kindness are welcome.
