Roger's obituary
ESSEX, MD. — Roger Rene McCrorie Laltoo, of Essex, died Saturday, December 2, 2023.
He was born January 12,1961, in Saskatchewan, Canada, and grew up in York Harbor, Maine, and was a graduate of York High School. Roger went on to attend college and join the United States Air Force. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1990.
During his time in the Air Force, Roger enjoyed living in California, Nebraska and Iceland. After leaving the military, he made his life in Virginia and Maryland and worked as a developer at John Hopkins for many years. He loved karaoke and traveling back home to Maine to visit family and friends; and eat lobstah and Flo’s dogs.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Jesse and Thomas Blaschke of Kansas; daughter and son-in-law Alexandra and Brad Meyers of Maryland; daughter Kelly McCoy of South Carolina; daughter Emily Laltoo of California; brother Robert Laltoo, sister Jodie Nielsen and brother-in-law James Nielsen of Maine; grandchildren Benjamin Blaschke, Caitlin Blaschke, Madison Emerson, Nora Meyers, Lillian Meyers, Anna McCoy, Michael McCoy and James McCoy.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Laltoo and Jill Bracy and his brother, Ross Laltoo.
SERVICES: A memorial service and celebration of Roger’s life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
