Roger's obituary
Roger Gene Dykes, 76, peacefully passed away on 6/12/2025 in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by his family. Born July 31st, 1948, Roger was a devoted Husband to the love of his life, Kathy, for 40 years. They shared many laughs and were an example of true love for those lucky to have met them. Roger was an amazing Father to his children, Krista, Bradley, and Travis, as well as the BEST Grumpa to his beloved grandkids, Lauryn and Alex. He was a friend to all, constantly surrounded by laughter and love everywhere he went. His loving, caring soul will be missed by all in his life.
Roger's personality was as vibrant as it was nurturing. He was a grand storyteller with a knack for making people laugh, often lightening up any room he entered with his radiant smile and humorous tales. A man of few words but deep emotions, he expressed his love and care in ways words often fall short of. His jokes carved permanent smiles, and his affectionate nature offered comfort during the most challenging times.
The most valuable lesson he had to share was the essence of unconditional love. Roger believed in loving people for who they were, without any bounds or conditions. His life illustrated his beliefs beautifully, as he loved without hesitation and cared without expectation. Living by his ethos, he touched countless lives and left behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and enlighten the lives of many for years to come.
In honoring Roger’s life, we also celebrate the warm memories, timeless lessons, and loving imprints he left behind. His legacy will be cherished and remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Today, as we bid him a final farewell, we take solace in the fact that his spirit continues to live on in the love he shared and the lives he touched.
