Mr. Roger Lyle Burt, 76, of Naugatuck, CT, passed away on June 06, 2023.

Roger was born on 10/1/1946 to Mary and James Burt in Rockford, Illinois.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. While serving, he had a chance meeting with Ann while his ship was in port and she was window shopping. They eventually wed and went on to have 3 children, Jodi, Roger, and Jason. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his children and grandchildren and always tried his best to support them.


Roger was also a passionate woodworker, fisherman, and bowler and could often be found in his shed working on wooden projects for family and friends or in the laundry room making wooden fishing lures on his lathe, combining two of his hobbies.


Anyone who knew Roger knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Roger was predeceased by his wife, Ann, and his daughter, Jodi. He is survived by both of his sons, Roger and Jason, and his granddaughters, Lauren, Breanna, and Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with the cremation, interment and celebration of life costs.
