Roger Bowers, 85, of Painesville, OH, passed away on July 14, 2022.

Roger was born on [December 23, 1936] to Curtis and Evelyn (Twigg) Bower in Cumberland, Md. After graduating from Hyndman LondonberryHigh School in 1954, he enlisted and served in the US Navy for 3 years.  In 1954, he met Barbara Harris and they wed in 1955, going on to have 2 children, Sherry (David) Kantz and Roger L. (Kathleen) Bowers. Six grandchildren,  Julie(Dan) Hatt, Deanna Kantz, Janelle(David) Patchin, Alesha(Dale) Kantz, Amanda(Grant) Cartwright, Alivia(James) Jajola and 7 great grandchildren.  Roger was a long time member of the Painesville Church of the Nazarene.   Roger was predeceased by parents, Curtis and Evelyn Bower and brother-in-law, Leonard Dingers. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara, his children, grand children and great grand children. Roger loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. His favorite pastime, though was sharing the gospel of Christ with anyone willing to listen.  Calling hours, Tuesday, July 19,————and funeral service, Wednesday, July 20, ————-will be held at Painesville Church of the Nazarene, 6235 Chestnut St, Painesville, Ohio 44077.  Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.  Burr Funeral Home in Chardon will be in charge of arrangements.
