Rodrigo's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rodrigo Mandriguez, who peacefully left this world on December 2, 2024. Rodrigo, born on October 11, 1949, was a beloved husband, brother, and stepfather. His kindness, warmth, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

Rodrigo was welcomed into this world by his late parents, Hipolito and Martina Mandriguez. He spent his formative years in Los Ángeles, CA, before eventually moving to McFarland, CA in 1998.

Rodrigo's life was marked by a deep sense of love and dedication to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Guadalupe Mandriguez, whom he married in 2008. Rodrigo was a steadfast and compassionate stepfather to Mariangelica Ruiz. He is also survived by his siblings María Dolores Alfaro, Francisco Mandriguez, and Josefina Ortiz, whose unwavering support and love filled Rodrigo's life with joy.

Throughout his life, Rodrigo was a passionate sports fan, with the San Francisco 49'ers and Los Ángeles Dodgers among his favorite teams. He was also a skilled poker player, and found joy in walking around the neighborhood with his wife “Lupe”  and German Shepard “Toño”. Known as a quiet, warm, gentle giant, Rodrigo had a knack for making those around him laugh with his playful humor once you got to know him.

The interment for Rodrigo will be held on December 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM at North Kern Cemetery District. A funeral service will be held earlier the same day at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. There will also be a vigil held at 6:00 PM at 638 8th St.

Rodrigo's spirit, love, and joy will live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. We will forever remember his hearty laughter, his kindness, and the love he showed each one of us.
