My big brother Rodney taught me all about the RAIDERS. He took me to Raider games since I was a teenager. From LA to the Oakland we tailgated and yelled at opposing teams until our voices were horse. We looked forward to one day being able to go to the new stadium in Vegas together. “Win lose or tie, I’m a Raider til I die”...🖤 😢🖤

2 Days before he passed away my brother Rodney FaceTime called as we often did. He was so happy to be working again. He hinted what he wanted for Christmas... a knife just like my friend Leonard’s he said with a huge grin! Ohh I miss him so much 😢

One of our neighbor's Ralph Cruz moved from our street to Barrydale which happened to be the same street as the Rocha's home. One Friday night Ralph invited my sister and I to go to the drive in with him and his sister. He still had to go back home to pick her up. So when he picked her up he drove toward Orange on Barrydale and Rodney and his friends called out to him as he had met them prior to this day. So he stopped and Rodney told him to park and come in for a little while. I protested because we were going to be late to the drive in as the movie was starting soon. I was out voted so we got off Ralph's truck and went inside the house where there were a few more of their friends. Rodney talked to me for a bit and they were all watching a movie on TV and having some drinks. Our friend drank too much (Ralph's sister) and we couldn't leave because she was in no condition to go anywhere at that point. So we stayed and Rodney talked more with me and got my telephone number and the rest is history. I was 16 and he was 19.

I met Rodney thru Nick Rodriguez.

My condolences goes out to the Rocha and Quiroz family. May God be with you and guide you during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Rodney over four years ago by my brother-in-law, Ponch, who was also a stone mason and worked with Rodney in the Bay Area. Rodney had an infectious laugh and was easily accepted and adopted into my family while he was working here in the Bay Area. We would regularly go out to dinner, dancing and family gatherings. He became so much a part of our family, that my nephew who also worked with him, jokingly called him "Tio". Once he left the Bay Area, we still remained in very close contact . I would receive a call every Sunday morning like clockwork where we would discuss his grandchildren, his children and family . He was a proud papa and grandpa. May you rest in peace, Rodney. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers. I'm going to miss my Sunday morning calls....Laura

My deepest condolences and to the Rocha and Quiroz family. I had the pleasure of meeting Rodney a few times and he had a very kind, humorist, and energetic spirit. May God help heal your broken hearts and bandage your wounds.
