Rod's obituary
Rodney “Rod” Peer Sr. passed away on January 9th, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family. Rodney was born to Gerald “Jerry” and Patricia “Pat” Peer on November 3rd, 1961. Father, grandfather, brother, son, and mentor- these are just some of the titles that Rod wore proudly. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a generous man, who touched the hearts of everyone he met.
Rod spent the majority of his life working in restaurants and had a passion for cooking. Even if he forgot what day of the week it was, he could still tell you any recipe you asked for down to the smallest details. He would often invite his kids over on Sundays to spend time together and cook dinner for them. Whenever he did this, you could always be certain that everyone would be fed before Rod made a plate for himself. This was just the type of man that Rod was- he always put the needs of his family before his own.
Rod was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life: good food, good beer (Budweiser), friends, and most importantly family. He loved being a dad, but he loved being a Grandpa even more. His world revolved around his family, and those that he loved. Nothing brought him more happiness and joy than having all of his kids together.
Rodney is preceded in death by: his parents Jerry and Pat Peer, his brother David Peer, and his daughter Holly Peer.
Rodney is survived by: his sisters, Kim (Eric) Stencel and Brenda (Mitch) Miller, his brother Tim (Robert Birnstihl) Peer, his daughters Rebecca (Chris) Beddoe, Megan Peer, and Heather Peer, his sons Rodney (Emily) Peer Jr., and Zach Beeson, along with his 7 grandchildren.
