So sorry to hear of Rod’s passing. I drummed  beside him for years at our Brooksville Wesleyan Hillbilly Band. Rod was a gifted guitarist, absolutely the real deal. What a humble guy, always  preferring to lay back while playing a more supportive role on songs. I know our group played to over 200 people in attendance many, many times these past few years, just crazy fun always! Rod will truly be missed ….RIP my friend

My memory goes back to the early 1960’s. Aunt Helen and uncle Ralph and family had come up to Delaware to visit with mom mom and pop pop Lynam.  I was around 12 and my mom and dad were having some difficulties. I returned to Florida with them to spend a few weeks of the summer. Rod and I had alot of fun during that time. Riding bikes, going to Clearwater Beach and going for rides in the old model A with uncle Ralph. It was a long time ago but the memories are warm.  I’m sorry for your loss. By the sound of some of the condolences the Rod I knew as a cousin but just a boy grew into a Good Man.
Rod and I worked together giving me the ability to get a perspective about the man on a one on one basis. He was Uncompromising in his beliefs and his treatment of others. Always with a smile and a hand out to help. If anyone loved their family more than Rod, I’ve not heard of or met them. He delighted in telling family stories. From working with his Dad and building an airplane. To working around the farm and the simple enjoyment that comes from being close to his wife Danna and children and of course later, grandchildren. A good man, a good friend and a man who leaves us with a smile!
Mr. Lynam, you will be missed! I have the best memories of you and you always made me laugh. You were such a bright light in this world!

Uncle Rodney was a kind and wonderful man who made so many people laugh. I have so many memories of family gatherings filled with funny stories and his contagious laugh. He was so smart and talented when it came to his craft and there probably wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or fix. He had a warm smile and gave great hugs!!! He loved Aunt Deanna so deeply and was always so quick to say such sweet compliments about her to others…I always loved that about him.

He will be terribly missed this side of Heaven but we will see him again one day and that is so comforting to know. Our many prayers are for you, his children and grandchildren, as you face these days ahead. I’m so thankful that God gave us memories to cherish and share with each other. Love you all!
