An annual spring break thing was to take them to the beach. Rod in his red truck would bring necessities. He would build a fire and start his hibachi to cook hot dogs. The kids would enjoy playing on the beach our open canvas, we always did the date and who was there because it grew with the kids we took, me in my Cobra mustang. The kids made sand angels, played ball etc and flew kites when tired of the kites they buried the handles and let them keep flying. On the way home we stopped at the fort. So many smiles and laughter. Annually we also camped July 4th weekend with the families. We were a tight family with the kids and each other. So much love.
