It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rodger Smith, who departed this world on March 16th, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on June 10, 1943, Rodger was a pillar of strength, love, and wisdom for his family and friends.

Endowed with a vibrant spirit, Rodger was known for his love for riding his Harley Davidson. His zeal for life and adventurous spirit was infectious and will be fondly remembered by those close to him.

Rodger leaves behind a legacy of love, represented by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Stalans(Kevin). Special friend Jennifer's mother, Linda Jennings. His memory is further carried on through the hearts of his grandchildren: Jason Stalans Jr.(Madison), Alexandra Stalans(David) Javon Stalans, and Jalon Stalans. Great grandchildren Kinzlee Stalans, Leeland Davis, and Oaklee Hembree.

He joins his late father and mother, Lloyd and Louise Smith, in peaceful rest. His presence will be greatly missed, but the memories created with him will continue to influence and inspire those he left behind.

A burial service for Rodger will be announced next week and will be held at the Highland Cemetery Sutherland Avenue.  As we gather to say our final goodbyes, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
