Rodrick was called “Rod” by many who knew him. He grew up in Goodrich, TX and attended public schools there, where he excelled in academics and sports. He graduated from Goodrich High School with honors. Upon graduation, Rod enlisted in the US Marines and was stationed at Camp Lejune located in Jacksonville, NC. After being honorably discharged, Rod gained employment with the NC Dept of …
