REFLECTIONS
Roderick Roshawn Chrystal was the 2nd child born to the union of Charles &Allena Chrystal on March 6,1975.RodericksFatherCharles Mother Allena, Sister JoNetta, grand parents Carl & Vivian Jones, and Cassie Chrystal, all proceeded him in death. Roderick attended early childhood education at Community Action Agency head start program and graduated to kindergarten. He continued his education and received his High School diploma by graduating from Del City High School. Roderick loved music and enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music with his grandfather who was a known gospel quartet singer. Roderick very interested in electronics and would disassemble and restructure phonographs. He went on to become an entrepreneur and was known throughout the city as a Disco Jockey. Roderick had the opportunity to DJ all types of events: Hope and foundations, Red Rock, OK Black Art Museum, School Talent shows, tFamily weddings, and the Chrystal family reunions. His swag name became DJ RODD. Roderick was passionate about working and did several side jobs: Oklahoma state fair as grounds keeper, Homeless Alliance distributed magazines (The curb side chronicles) Roderick also during the holidays collected donations for Salvation Army as a bell ringer. Roderick was loved by all his family and friends. Cheerful but at times could be very stubborn and usually set on doing things his way. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory: 2nephews Kaylis and Braylen Connley, great nephew Omari Connley, I niece JayNessa Connley, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma an Aunt Rosalyn Magness Del City, Ok. A lot of cousins ,extended family members and friends and acquaintances from the Chrystal, Farrow, Jones, and Harris families ! WHEW.....
