I am very sorry for y’all loss Roderick was a good person and a great neighbor I watch the three girls blossom into beautiful young ladies he will be missed .

To Rakia and family, and all who loved Roderick and mourn the loss, I am so sorry. Rakia, your daddy sought me out at the Cristo Rey end of year awards ceremony at the conclusion of your sophomore year and introduced himself. He was absolutely beaming with pride about your accomplishments, and he told me how much it meant to him that I recognized your power and potential. We had a brief but inspiring conversation about the great things you are destined to do. I was so touched by his pride in his awesome daughter. I am sorry I didn't know him better; it seems he was an amazing person. Be assured the angels in heaven are rejoicing at his homecoming, and may God comfort you all.
