"After 10 years of chemo, I've embraced a new mantra: "Love what you have; accept what you receive; give what you can; forgive what you can't and bless what you see. BE THE SOURCE OF LIGHT - Robyn Bandele Nash

“I fell in love with the Lodge the moment I walked through the doors. I just felt this calming, welcoming, loving presence, and I felt at home. This place gives you the power to fight even harder. The Lodge, for me, has been the most peaceful respite that I could imagine. They really got the name right– this place is truly all about hope. It restores the belief that you can do anything -- you can beat cancer and leave here a winner. I am committed to the Lodge 100%. It transformed my life. I don’t know what I would have done without it.” – Robyn Bandele Nash
To the Nash Family, especially Carolyn, Jennifer, and Robyn, you have our sincerest and deepest sympathy for your loss of such a well loved and beautiful Sister and Auntie. ~The Browns.

I had the honor of serving as a trustee of Union Chapel with Robyn, and the privilege of being her nurse in the hospital on a few occasions. She always had a hug , a smile, and something positive to say every single time we crossed paths, and had such gratitude for her life and everything and everyone in it. She was a blessed friend to me, and so many others, and she will be greatly missed. Sending my love and my condolences to her family and friends.
On behalf of the entire staff at the Jimmy Fund Walk, we are so incredibly saddened to hear of Robyn's passing. Robyn was such a positive, bright light and a force to be reckoned with. Her upbeat attitude and spirit radiated off onto anyone she was with. I have such a vivid memories of Robyn from so many Jimmy Fund Walks - always with the biggest smile (and oftentimes a tutu!) She was a tireless advocate for this vicious disease, and we will carry her in our hearts always. Sending love, prayers and deepest sympathies.
On behalf of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), we extend our sincere sympathies to the Nash family. Robyn’s father, Robert Nash was a founding member of NOMA and we are so saddened to hear of his daughter’s passing. Peace and healing to all mourning this tremendous loss.
My sincere condolences to Robyn Nash's family, lifelong friends, and other loved ones. Robyn and I became friends about 15 years ago, although our paths had crossed several times before then on the island, where her loving and generous spirit will always remain. She was a fierce warrior, who battled with power, courage and grace, and even humor. Steven, what a good brother you are. Thank you for giving her my note to read last week. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to say farewell before she embarked on her transcendental journey. She will be missed, for sure.
Robyn is the ultimate cancer warrior and inspiration for those who have battled cancer including myself. Even though you have lost this battle, you have won the war. Rest well my HU FRIEND 4 LIFE. #CancerSucks #FuckCancer
I will always remember Robin for some reason as the "dancer" who performed gracefully and with beauty while we were fellow undergraduate students at Howard University. As we remained friends and both "matured" ,Robin continued to move through her professional duties and personal relationships with again grace and beauty .
Warm, engaging, consistently "dancing on the sunny side of the street."

Robyn was my best friend my senior year at Woodrow Wilson in Washington, D.C. She talked me into joining the Workshop for Careers in the Arts where we took modern dance classes everyday from Debbie Allen and Vivienne Reed....I had never danced before but I learned that year... and we both dance in Debbie's senior project at Ira Aldridge Theater on Howard's campus....we were both tall and lanky.... and refused to date "high school boys".
The year we both turned 60 I invited Robyn out to California and we took a road trip to San Francisco. ...we attended a party for another friend Debbie McFerrin...also turning 60 ....we laughed all the way to San Francisco and all the way back....we stopped in Carmel on the way home and in San Louis Obispo we saw seals and sea lions on the beach... IF ROBYN WAS YOUR FRIEND ....YOU HAD A FRIEND FOR LIFE.....I'll see you again my friend ....at the big...party....in the sky......
Rest now.....no more pain to endure....you are with the ancestors and they are ready to dance with you....Love, always ....Angie Robinson

In 2015 Aunt Robyn spoke with a Boston radio station about her experience with cancer, Dana-Farber, and the Jimmy Fund Walk. Her energy was infectious.
