Your big heart and smile are so missed in this world. Sending love your way.

Robyn was always so sweet to my two daughters. She always had such a wonderful smile and kind

word. I think of her and how  sad it is that she was taken so young. Rest in peace my friend.

Three years have passed my fierce friend. I really thought you would still be here with us because your willpower was immense. You are a shining star in the universe, and I will always be grateful for your friendship. There is power in humor and honesty, and you knew how to wield them perfectly. Thank you for all the enduring memories. Rest softly Robin.

I absolutely loved Robyn, our houses were back to back, I was in the 5th grade and hung out with her brother Steve and sister Carolyn. I’m so sorry she passed away, she had a brilliant mind and open heart for everyone she met.
I met Robyn at the Hope Lodge in 2011. We became fast friends and partners in crime. We watched movies late into the night and enjoyed countless meals together. I adored her truth-telling and unwillingness to sugarcoat the challenges of cancer treatment. Her language and humor felt so "real" to me when everything around me felt unreal. I still use "Robynisms" daily. We laughed and laughed our way through terrible times. Our paths would not be the same. The last time I saw Robyn, she bounced onto the elevator at Dana Farber. I was 6 months pregnant and she invited me to go dancing with her friends... quintessential Robyn. Consider yourself blessed if the universe let your path cross with Robyn's. Rest easy my "fierce" friend. Your work is over and we are forever grateful for your beautiful spirit.

Literally knew Robyn since I was in 5th grade, she’s about three years older. Our houses were back to back, her family lived on Delafield, mine on Emerson. She was only the kindest person you could hope to meet, I spent many days at her house with Stevie and Carolyn. Their family was kind enough to invite me to Oak Bluffs for the summer, as in the whole summer!! I only have warm and very emotional memories of Robyn, her siblings and parents.
Peace and joy to your soul sweet Robyn.
You left those you touched better humans for the experience.
Continue spreading your love
Happy birthday
I will never forget the day that I met Robyn, NYE 2001. I had just moved to the island and was looking for a job to supplement my income as a dancer. We hit it off instantly and she hired me to be her assistant at her Law Practice. I learned so much from her. She was so brilliant, so talented and forever a champion of the struggling artist. "Fierce" does not even begin to describe this amazing woman. My goodness, it seems like only yesterday that we were dancing the night away at the AC after a long week in court... Cherished memories... Rest easy, RBN. You fought the good fight. xo

My deepest sympathies to Robyn’s family and the many people whose lives she touched. May your own memories of her bring you continued comfort and peace.

Ms. Nash, I've often thought back to our times in DC, fierce & fabulous they were 💜💜
May you continue to dance with the angels and twinkle as bright as the stars.
I am heartbroken. Robyn was also an alumna of Workshops for Careers in the Arts. The pilot program that was formed in the late 60's for very talented inner city teens in Washington, D.C., that led to the establishment of Duke Ellington School of the Arts in our Nation's Capital. As teens back then in the arts, Robyn was phenomenal. Long before it was coined, we were 'FAME' literally, with a young Howard University student teacher Debbie Allen as one of our mentors there. On behalf of all of us in D.C. who love you Robyn, and I'm sure others will chime in, you will be missed. Your brilliant legacy will live eternal. Love You Dear. Jon
To Carolyn and Stephen my deepest felt condolences to you both. I will always remember Robyn from the neighborhood the tall lean girl with the pretty pig tail braids who was smart and a leader in her own way who I observed and admired her abilities from afar. Although our paths went in different directions her name always came up when I talked about the old Emerson Street neighborhood. My prayers of comfort and peace to your family and may your loving memories of your beloved be forever with you!

Blessings,

I met Robyn in High School as a young dancer and she was my very first dance partner. She experienced many ups and downs as we all have however she would find a way to land on her feet proceeding with the next chapter in her life., promptly! She possessed a very large personality and imagination. I had her come for holistic healing for a week several years ago which was my last contact with her. While we were not longer in each others lives, we always found common ground in humor. The same things we laughed about as young teens were the very same things we hollered about in middle age. I am glad to see that she found a way to make her very own statement about herself and I stand proud of her for THAT THERE is what it is all about!!! I am sure where ever in the universe her spirit goes ,she will have a great next assignment.

I hear your laughter and feel…
I hear your laughter and feel your love every day. You make it impossible for me to miss you for you are always with me as you've always been. Our 49 year connection is forever. I love you madly Robyn Bandele.
Thirty years ago, our family moved next door to Robyn on Waban Park after we fell in love with the Vineyard. Then we met Robyn and her family and fell in love with her. My little girls loved her bright “Good Mornings” and her infectious smile. She always gave them a few moments of her day, with a story, a question or the purchase of their lemonade or painted rocks. She will always be in our family stories and in our hearts. We loved you Robyn. Laurie, Richard, Cassandra and Samantha Brooks.

Dearest Robyn, Today we say our final goodbyes (for now). We certainly are going to miss you. Whenever and wherever you encountered us along the timelines of our lives, you left indelible memories. We are going to miss your laughter, your tears, your willingness to always help someone and your fierce determination to get the job done. Yes, we will miss your verve, your moxie, your zest and definitely that walk. You touched us all with a life well lived that we will always hold close and dear in our hearts. Job well done! Robyn is one of my Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority line sisters. I knew she was an amazing woman, but I really had no idea how amazing until I read the obituary in the Vineyard Gazette. Our line's name is Phenomenal 34, and Robyn was phenomenal on every level. Her many talents and accomplishments are only matched by her beautiful spirit. Robyn, you fought a long and courageous fight. Now take your rest...

For we know there's no other like our sisterhood...
