Robin's obituary

Robin Suzette Slone, age 68, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Robin was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cherished friend to many.

Robin dedicated much of her life to caring for others. Her compassionate spirit touched countless lives during her years working in hospice care. She also had a special gift for nurturing those around her, from neighborhood children to her beloved family. Northern Michigan held a special place in Robin's heart; she found peace and joy in its serene beauty. She especially treasured time spent at the family cabin with loved ones.

Robin’s grandchildren were the light of her life. She delighted in playing board games, gardening, fishing, shooting guns, and even jumping in mud puddles with them. Known for her adventurous spirit and quick wit, Robin loved fiercely and remained vibrant and feisty until the end.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at HarmonyCares Hospice for their compassionate care. Special thanks go to Valerie, her nurse; Elizabeth, her social worker and friend; Chaplain Will; and Alisha, her CNA, for their unwavering support and kindness.

A celebration of Robin’s life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion located at 8047 Ortonville Road, Clarkston, MI 48348.

Robin’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May her legacy of love and laughter bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
