Robin S. Schmidt

August 3, 1952 - April 13, 2022

Robin Scott Schmidt, age 69, departed this world from the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, to be in the presence of God, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for eternity.

Robin was born to Monroe Schmidt and Audrey (nee Biertzer) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 3, 1952. He graduated from Case High School and proudly served his country in the Marine Corps from 1973 to 1977. Robin had a special love for the outdoors and enjoyed many trips hunting and fishing with his friends. Some of his trips included going to Nebraska, Minnesota, Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Robin also enjoyed going to car races, especially to see sprint cars on dirt oval tracks. He enjoyed his winters snowmobiling when he was younger and was a member of the Caledonia Sno-Lords for many years. His love for the outdoors led him to retire up to the Northwoods with occasional trips to his winter home in New Mexico.

Robin is survived by his two sons; Kevin (Nancy) Schmidt and Kenneth Schmidt; five grandchildren; Abigail, Katherine, Amelia, Nathan and Callie Schmidt.

In addition to his parents; Monroe Schmidt and Audrey May, Robin was preceded in death by his younger brother, Craig and his longtime love, Louise.

A memorial service for Robin will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00am at Union Grove Baptist Church located in Union Grove, WI with Pastor Dr. Richard Schmidt officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church with Full Military Honors to follow. Private interment will be held at a later date.
