Thinking of you today! Happy Heavenly Birthday ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
I met Robin at the Seaside Center For Spiritual Living. I was new to San Diego, but she and I hit it off right away after we met. I ended up volunteering and supporting her with a lot of the projects that she would do as a board member. We became very fast, friends, and I was there to support her in anyway that I can both at Seaside and in general. Robin was such a giving and caring person that she was always there especially for her family and that included her mom, her dad, her children and her grandchildren. They are mentioned among the entries on these pages. Itโ€™s been difficult for me to add my entry because itโ€™s still hard to believe that she is no longer here physically. Over the years, we used to attend various smooth jazz festivals, and I especially remember when a group of us ladies attended one in downtown San Diego when we rented a room at a hotel and went to dinner and then went to the outdoor concert for the rest of the night. The next day we ended up going to the Little Italy farmers market. Robin loved to do outings and adventures. She loved shopping and we both discovered our love for Pinot Noir wine. We spent a lot of girlfriend time together over the past 20+ years. I was blessed to know her and have her as a part of my life and my best friend.

'Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone'

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,

Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,

Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead

Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,

Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,

Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,

My working week and my Sunday rest,

My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;

I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;

Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;

For nothing now can ever come to any good.

W H Auden
