Robin's obituary

Robin Lee Fuson, beloved father, passed away in his St. Helens home at the age of 68 on April 4th, 2025. Born on August 28th, 1956 in Santa Monica, CA he was the son of John Fuson and Joy Faye Bradley who predeceased him.

Robin graduated from Venice High School in 1974. He went on to earn his associates in Advanced Machining at Santa Monica City College, and his Journeyman Machinist certificate via Chevron’s training program in 1983 at the El Segundo refinery.

Robin's love for the rivers, forests, and beaches of Oregon led him to escape LA and resettle in the PNW in 1986. He was an avid fisherman, outdoors enthusiast, and loved being able to get off the beaten path. He worked at Paco (Grundfos) Pumps in Portland until his retirement.

Robin is survived by his four children, Daniel (33), Rachael (31), Hannah (28), and Andrew (24),and his brother James (Bob), Robin’s love and pride in his children, and theirs for him is unquestionable.

Robin had a half-sister Trudy Baroni. The family has attempted to get in contact with her but has been unsuccessful and her current health is unknown.

Although Robin and his former wife, Meagan Kelsey, separated - their children and co-parenting kept them in constant contact, with Meagan assisting him with his care and wellness for the past six years as his health declined and he stayed home bound.

Robin was a long standing member of the local St. Helens alcoholics anonymous chapter, as well as branching far abroad to a new home group in Sydney Australia he attended via Zoom these past 5 years during and after Covid. He was a fixture and mentor within the community and his story and sponsorship have touched hundreds of lives in a positive manner, He would’ve celebrated his 43rd year of sobriety this May.

Robin’s self deprecating humor, the twinkle in his eye, “it's just another tuesday baby” will be sorely missed by both family and friends alike.
