Robin's obituary
Surrounded by her family, Robin Dooly Martin passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025 in Pleasanton, California. Born on March 25, 1961, Robin grew up in Alhambra and also lived in Placentia before moving to the Bay Area in 2002, creating lifelong friendships in each place she called home.
Robin had a boundless spirit and a love for life that was contagious. She was a marathon runner, completed a triathlon, became scuba certified, and had a remarkable knack for predicting which movies would win at the Oscars. She thrived on adventure—traveling the world, hiking, wine tasting, attending concerts, and savoring good food. Like the Energizer Bunny, she was always on the move, filling her days with joy, family, and friends.
Most recently, Robin worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Concannon Winery, and The Cellar Door. Her career took her down several different paths, including roles at Vons/Safeway, Hair Club for Men, and Save Mart. She was a natural-born leader who approached every role with enthusiasm and was always ready to learn whatever new skills the job required.
Above all, Robin cherished her family. She was a devoted mother to Michael and Tyler, a proud grandma to Jacob and Andrew, a loving sister to Ginger, and a caring daughter to Sally. Robin’s infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Her laughter, energy, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Robin’s life will be held at Concannon Winery on September 26, 2025, where stories, memories, and the joy she brought to the world will be shared.
