Robin's obituary
Robin Lynn Daniels, 68, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, in the compassionate care of Allina Hospice.
His death was unexpected to his family and friends, as his illness came on suddenly and progressed quickly. He passed away surrounded by his sister and loved ones, speaking of Glory to God and Eternal Life in Heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Robin was born on December 31, 1956, in Statesville, North Carolina, to the late Dwight Clark Daniels and Shelby Jean Sloan Daniels. He carried a deep love for his roots in North Carolina.
Robin served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard. As a young man, he was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the rank of Life Scout and received the God and Country Award in recognition of his faith and service. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis-St. Paul as a certified chemical dependency counselor and dedicated much of his later years in the profession of security, where he worked until his passing.
Robin was preceded in death by his beloved fiancée, Penney Paquette of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, whose passing left a profound mark on his heart. Though their wedding was never realized, their bond was enduring. Penney’s family embraced Robin as their own, and he cherished the love and connection he found with them.
He is survived by his sister, Beverly Daniels Fox of Statesville, North Carolina; his niece, Erica Fox of Raleigh, North Carolina; and his nephews, Jonathan Fox and Daniel Fox, both of Troutman, North Carolina. Robin also leaves behind his best friend, Tammy Pellant, Penney Paquette’s sister, whose friendship and support meant the world to him. He is also survived by his precious cat, Paris, along with many dear friends and extended family who will remember him with love.
Robin will be remembered as a gifted storyteller with an endless collection of tales that delighted and entertained those lucky enough to hear them. He also had a sense of humor, deep loyalty, and quiet strength. He touched the lives of those around him with his kindness, his thoughtful spirit, and his enduring love for his family and friends.
Arrangements are incomplete. A Celebration of Life will be arranged and announced by Penney’s sisters, Joy Steuber and Tammy Pellant and held in the Minneapolis area.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306, or online at t2t.org, in honor of Robin Daniels.
Robin will be missed deeply, but his love and light live on in all who knew him.
