Robin entered a facility to help her walk again. She developed delirium due to a UTI. She kept asking for pain medication to help with this. She could not stay awake or explain her symptoms because of this. I am her POA. I told the staff to stop giving her so much medication. They did not. She couldn't feed herself or drink, which I had to point out. She became severely dehydrated developed sepsis and couldn't communicate what was wrong due to the delirium and pain medication. We cannot sue as no one can claim damages, only a spouse or child could. So they will face no repercussions. This is unacceptable.
