Robert "Bob" L. Young, 78, of Milford, OH passed away peacefully at Hospice of Cincinnati on March 15, 2019 after a courageous battle with Metastatic Thyroid Cancer. Born on May 22, 1940 to the late Elmer H. Young Jr. and Ruth L. Smith Young PaHud in Dayton, OH. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his older brother William T. Young. Bob is survived by the love of his life, Martha Young, his daughters Patricia A. (Daniel) Ludwig and Teresa M. Young, his grandchildren, Lauren E. Ludwig, David C. Ludwig and Christopher A. Young, and his stepdaughters, Darlene (Terry) Neal and Karen (Mark) Josaitis and his brother Elmer H. (Carol) Young III and his sister Dorothy Lee (Henry) Young Doll. Bob worked in sales all of his life for several insurance companies, Commerce Clearing House Legal Books, and then had his own promotional advertising business for many years before his retirement. He was always active and enjoyed playing football, golf, tennis, camping, skiing, hunting, hiking or sailing with family and friends through the years. He also enjoyed playing board games such as Monopoly and chess with his family. He grew up in Dayton, OH and graduated from Chaminade Catholic High School in 1959, then lived in Cincinnati, OH and Rockford, IL with his wife Marty before moving back to live in Cincinnati, OH to be near family and friends for his retirement years. He is a member of St. Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church in Milford, OH where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at 552 Main St., Milford by Father Michael Cordier. Family will receive friends before and after the service. Donations in Bob's honor can be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Cincinnati.
