Tony's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Tony" Witzig, who was better known by his loved ones as Tony. Born on August 26, 1947, Tony passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026.

Tony was a man of incredible wit and character. His sense of humor was contagious and those who knew him cherished his company. He was known for his love of blues music, often filling any room he was in with soulful tunes. Tony could often be found enjoying his favorite television show, Seinfeld, or watching his favorite movie, Casino. His favorite foods were pork rinds and he loved to wash them down with a refreshing glass of orange juice.

Tony cared deeply about various causes, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and the American Lung Society. His compassion was a testament to his kind heart and commitment to making a difference.

Before the passing of his beloved wife, Mary Witzig, Tony served as her full-time caregiver. This was a role he took on with great love and dedication, and her loss was deeply felt. Tony was also predeceased by his mother, Florence Witzig, his brother, Micheal Witzig, and his father, Arnold Witzig.

Despite these losses, Tony's spirit never wavered. He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Samuelson, and his grandsons, Blake Cade and Skyler Breeding, who remember him fondly for his resilience and undying love for his family.

As we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, we also celebrate the life he led and the joy he brought to those around him. Tony's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
