Robert's obituary
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. Robert Wiltse, born on Oct 11, 1980, who left us on Feb 27, 2024. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend whose quiet determination left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his son, Ethan Carlson, his father, John Wiltse, his mother, Melanie Wiltse, his sisters, Stephanie Mcgregor and Sara Pritchard, and his brother-in-law, Bobbie Mcgregor. Each of them carries a piece of Robert's spirit and will remember him for his love and devotion to family.
Robert's dedication extended beyond his family to his country as well. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1999 and courageously deployed to Iraq in 2004. He was a proud graduate of SPASH, Stevens Point, WI (1999), and went on to complete his studies in Criminal Justice at Mid-State Technical College, Wisconsin Rapids, WI (2002).
Outside his work, Robert had a wide array of interests. He loved hunting, fishing, wood working, cooking, building and remodeling. He had a special knack for training his dogs and cherished the time he spent with his son. His life was also enriched by his engagement with amateur radio.
One of his favorite childhood memories was spending summers in Michigan with his Grandpa Lou. These idyllic vacation days remained dear to him and he often spoke of the joy and peace he found with him.
Robert was known for his quiet, but determined personality. He consistently put others before himself and his resilience was an inspiration to those around him. His family, friends, and every life he touched will deeply miss him.
We celebrate his life and take comfort that his journey here brought joy and meaning to many. His memory will continue to guide us, and his spirit will forever be in our hearts.
