I met Bob and Cheryl at Big Chief RV resort as camp hosts. Wonderful loving couple. Bob was quiet, kind and knowledgeable. He shared a cactus planter with me before they left and filled me in on the history of where he found them and pointed out the petrified wood in it too. Undoubtably they followed JESUS and were a beautiful example.
I would often see Bob’s love & kind patience towards their little black pug dog Smidgen, as he slowly walked with her to the post office. I also sensed the kindness of Bob’s heart when we prayed together at prayer group. He would simply humbly ask God to answer his prayers. I’ll miss that the most about Bob.
I met Bob & Cheryl while working as Campground hosts in Wyoming a few years back and became fast friends. My most recent memory of Bob was having dinner at Cafe 2300 in Burnet, Texas where they talked about future travel plans and heading back home from Texas. I was truly blessed to have Bob and Cheryl as my friends ❤
Bob and Cheryl were our neighbors, here in Florence, Oregon, for years. They were awesome neighbors. I could always count on them if I needed something. I think the most fun we ever had together was the garage sale. It was stressful, like all garage sales are, but we got to spend several days together and it was fun! I missed them when they moved...and I will always miss them. Cheryl...I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was an awesome guy! You were lucky to have each other! Love always, Connie...
Both Bob & Cheryl and Mike & I love feeding the birds here. Before Bob and Cheryl took off for Texas, Bob told me that the birds really love having water available for them in the winter time. I asked how he kept it from freezing. He said he put a little heater in the water so they could always have it. He loved the birds and animals and cared for them so well. The other thing I admired with Bob were rocks and shells. I loved to see his collection that he set up around their house to admire. We talked about rock polishing, too. But our favorite rock we shared was our faith in The Rock - Jesus Christ -- the same yesterday, today, and forever. Bob built his life and his house on the Rock. As I said on Facebook, I loved to listen to Bob pray. I have never heard someone pray so personally and honestly to God. He spoke to God as a friend he could always ask and trust.
