Robert's obituary
Robert Albin Volent, 67, of Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away on June 25th, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on November 18th, 1957, in Worcester, Robert lived a life filled with love and adventure. His charisma, strength, and boundless energy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Robert's early years were spent in Worcester, where he graduated from Holy Name High School, an institution where his academic focus and natural leadership abilities shone. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Business from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. There he laid the foundation for a career that would define much of his life. After much hard work and dedication, Robert was awarded the position of Regional Manager of New England for The Money Store.
Outside of his professional life, Robert’s passions were what truly defined him. As a lover of the outdoors, he spent countless hours hiking with his children in the hills and woods of New England. Whether it was a long bike ride on a sunny day or walking along the shore, Robert had an unshakable love for nature, particularly the beach. His summers were often spent with his family by the water, a place where he found peace and joy.
Robert also had a deep appreciation for good food. Whether preparing meals for his family or seeking out new dining experiences, food brought him both comfort and connection. His home was always a place of warmth, filled with laughter, delicious meals, and stories shared around the table.
He is survived by his four children—Robert, Michael, Christopher, and Jessica—whom he adored with all his heart. His love for them was immeasurable, and he always made sure they knew they were his greatest pride. He is also survived by his sisters, Christine Volent Baker and Elaine Volent Duffy, who cherished their brother deeply, his former wife of 25 years, Sandra Volent, and six grandchildren Johnathan, Lucas, Leo, Logan, Nathan, and Evelyn.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Albin P. Volent and Ann V Kondrotas, who had passed earlier in his life. Though they are no longer with him, their love and support guided him throughout his life. He will be missed not only for his role as a father, brother, and friend, but for his zest for life, his joy in simple pleasures, and his ability to make every moment feel special.
Rest in peace, Robert. Your love, spirit, and adventures will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
