It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert "Bubba" Jackson, affectionately known as Bubba, but who preferred Bob. Born on June 11, 1953, Robert departed this world on August 11, 2024.

Robert leaves behind a loving family; his daughter, Christi Kelly; his son-in-law, Arthur Kelly; grandchildren Ben, Alex, Sammie Kelly and Autumn Phillips. His mother, Tommie Jackson; his siblings Mary Bennett, James Jackson, and Joanne Jackson. his nieces and nephews; Aaron, Brian, Pam, Dean, Tracy, Adrienne, Maxwell, Jordan, Luke, Eric, Mallory, and Amy. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 25 years, Candace Sue Jackson; his daughter Courtney Jackson; his father, Robert Jackson, and his sister, Jamana Jackson.

In his lifetime, Robert served as the devoted pastor of the Madison Heights Fellowship Baptist Church, a position that brought him great joy and fulfillment. His life was marked by selfless service and an enduring commitment to his community. He believed in lending a hand to those in need, a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he impacted.

A memorial service and luncheon to honor Robert’s life will be held on August 24, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Madison Heights Fellowship Baptist located at 215 W 11 Mile Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071. In these moments of loss and sadness, let us come together to remember a man who lived his life with love and kindness, and who touched the lives of those around him in profound ways.

Robert's life was a testament to the golden rule, "Always be willing to help others". This principle guided his actions and his decisions every day. He was an inspiration to us all, a beacon of light in our community, and he will be deeply missed.
