Robert's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert S. Updegrove, husband of Gloria Updegrove, a remarkable man and cherished member of our community. Robert was born on September 27, 1939, and passed away peacefully at his home in Millersville, on June 19, 2025.
Known for his zest for life, Robert was a fun man. He loved playing shuffle alley for over 30 years, being part of pool leagues, and loved his motorcycle rides. Robert's roles as a committed husband, devoted father, and loving grandfather were what defined him best – a testament to his unwavering love for family.
Robert's accomplishments spanned beyond his personal life. A member of Pepboys since 2002 where he retired, a School bus driver and drove truck for Lancaster leaf. Prior He served in the Air Force, showing exceptional bravery and dedication. His years of service were marked with distinction, displaying a deep commitment to the protection of his country.
Robert's enduring spirit will be lovingly remembered by his children; Todd Updegrove, Robert Updegrove Jr.(Spouse of Cheryl Updegrove) Wendy Nixdorf and Michelle Young(Spouce of Jay Young) Denise, Doug, Darren and Darric, who are left to treasure his memory. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He was proceeded in death, by his beloved wife, Nora Updegrove, to whom he was devoted for many years. Also his daughter Kimberly Weaver, Grandaughter Kathy Boyd, and Grandson, Jere Trimble. His absence will resonate deeply within the hearts of his family.
Robert's life was a testament to steadfast love, unwavering dedication, and unyielding spirit. He lived his life to the fullest while remaining committed to his family and country. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
