It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Townsley on December 9, 2024. Born on December 6, 1948, Robert lived a full, vibrant life marked by warmth, humor, and a love for his family and friends.

Robert's infectious laughter and penchant for sweet-talking will be remembered by all who knew him. He was known for his jovial nature and ability to make everyone around him smile, a trait that made him the life of any gathering. His favorite pastime was spending time with his friends at the bar, a place where he loved being the center of attention and entertaining everyone with his stories and jokes.

A true music lover, Robert found joy and solace in the tunes of Elvis Presley and Red Savine. He was also known to enjoy a chilled Sprite, often in the company of friends and family. His favorite local haunts were Kick Back Jacks, Erma's, and the American Legion, places where he spent many joyful hours.

Robert loved the beach, oftentimes making it his preferred vacation destination. His description wouldn't be complete without acknowledging the charm and wit he displayed so frequently, especially when it came to charming the ladies.

Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Vicki Wilkerson Townsley, and his mother, Florence Woodbury Townsley, whose memories he held close to his heart. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Scott and Kimberly Tucker, and his son-in-law, John Eubanks Jr. Robert's legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Amanda Scott, Travis Capps, James Eubanks, and John Eubanks III, who will continue to remember their grandfather's love and cherish his memory.

Robert's passing leaves a void that will be hard to fill, but his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. His laughter, love of life, and the happiness he brought to others will always be remembered. His spirit lives on in those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
