Robert's obituary

Robert Dale "Bob" Toms, 71, of Martinsville, passed peacefully from this life on October 16,2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 9, 1948 in Columbus, OH to the late Edwin and Ann (Neibler) Toms.

He was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus, OH and attended Penn State. Mr. Toms worked for the CSX Railroad and retired as superintendent from the Great Lakes Railroad Division.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He and his wife formerly attended the Trinity Worship Center in Martinsville.

He leaves behind his loving family including his wife, Pamela Jean (Carmean) Toms of Martinsville whom he married on January 24, 1974; sons, Dwayne Patrick Toms (wife, Heather) and Shawn Toms of Martinsville; daughters, Regina Gary (husband Bryan)  of FL and April Toms of Martinsville; sister, Connie Horn (husband, Greg) of TX; grandchildren, Robert, Tyler, Hailey, Patricia and Kyndalynne Toms, Katie Orr, Zander Dowell and Emily Manley and great grandchildren, Madelynn and Gareth Toms.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cheryl Miller and his granddaughter, Logann Marie Toms.

In honoring his wishes his earthly remains will be cremated and his family will honor him with a private graveside service at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
