Bob's obituary
- In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Thomas Bradley
- Bob Bradley, 86, passed away on January 22, 2024, in Forney, TX. Born on January 18, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, Bob was a compassionate man who led a life filled with love and dedicated service to others.
- After graduating from high school, Bob enlisted in the Army and served honorably for six years, being discharged in 1966. His career led him to become a supervisor at Illinois Bell in Chicago, where he pursued studies in Physics and Business in college. In 1972, Bob moved to Arizona to raise his family, becoming an integral part of the community. He took pride in his membership with the Scottsdale Jaycees and the camaraderie of the Mavericks, engaging in western reenactments and the Parada del Sol Rodeo.
- Bob loved classic cars and was a passionate baseball enthusiast. He devoted many years to coaching little league teams, guiding them to state championships. During his 38-year tenure with US Bell, he found lasting love in his third wife, Jean, with whom he shared 45 joyful years. Upon retirement, Bob fulfilled a lifelong dream, living on a golf course in Lago Vista, TX, where he continued to enjoy his love for the game.
- Never one to remain idle, Bob served as a City Councilman in Lago Vista and was an active member of Grace Fellowship, where he faithfully served as a Deacon. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean, and their cherished dog, Itsy Bitsy. In Arizona, he is remembered by his son, Dan, daughter-in-law Sue, and granddaughter Alyssa. In Texas, he is survived by his daughter, Myrna Luther, son-in-law Dan, and granddaughter Skyla. His grandson, Erik, his wife, Nicole, and their six children also cherish his memory. He is also survived by his sister, Pat, brother-in-law Tony, and their daughters Cindy and Shelley in Illinois.
- Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eulene, and his son, Steve. His departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of his life will be held in Childress, Tx. commemorating the legacy of kindness, generosity, and love he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
- Date and address for his celebration of life will be updated here when the location is determined.
